How do I care for my Nomad Mattress?

We want you to experience the Nomad difference in your own RV, home, or truck. Depending on your mattress model, you have either 60 or 90 nights to test it out.

Here is how it works for ALL mattresses:

Give It Time (The 30-Day Rule): Your body needs time to adjust to a new mattress, and the high-density foam needs time to break in. We require you to sleep on your new mattress for at least 30 nights before initiating a return.
When It Starts: Your trial period begins on the exact day your mattress is delivered.
Keep It Clean: Returned mattresses must be in good, sanitary condition (no stains, tears, or damage). We highly recommend using a waterproof mattress protector during your trial! (Unopened mattresses in their original packaging have a standard 30-day return window).
Full Refund: If you decide the mattress isn’t right for you after the 30-day break-in period, simply contact us. Once we inspect the returned mattress, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.

We take pride in our Canadian craftsmanship. Whether you are covered by our 20-Year Warranty or our 5-Year Warranty, we guarantee your mattress is free from manufacturing defects.

What IS Covered:

Sagging and Indentations: We cover visible sagging deeper than 1 inch (2.5 cm) that isn’t the result of a faulty or unsupportive bed foundation.
Foam Integrity: Cracking or splitting of the foam core under normal usage conditions.
Cover & Seams: Manufacturing defects in the stitching or zipper of the mattress cover.

What is NOT Covered:

Normal Wear and Tear: Like any foam product, your mattress will naturally soften slightly over time. This is normal and not a defect.
Comfort Preferences: Changes in your firmness or feel preferences over time are not covered.
Damage from Misuse: Burns, cuts, stains, mold, or damage caused by an improper or slatted foundation that lacks support.
Spills & Liquid Damage: Accidental spills or fluid damage void the warranty, which is why a mattress protector is always recommended!
New Mattress Odors: Initial “new foam” odors are completely normal and will quickly fade.
Transportation Costs: You will be responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty claims.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your mattress has a manufacturing defect, we make the claim process easy:

2. Provide Proof: We will need a copy of your original purchase receipt, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos/videos showing the defect (e.g., using a broom handle and a ruler to measure a sag).

3. Inspection: We will review your claim and may ask you to return the mattress to our facility for physical inspection.

4. Repair or Replace: If we confirm a manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace your mattress (or provide a comparable substitute) at our discretion.

How long do I have to return my Nomad Mattress?

It depends on the model you purchased. We offer a 90-Night Sleep Trial on our Premium Lineup (The Original Nomad RV, Truck Mattress, and Home & Cottage). We offer a 60-Night Sleep Trial on our Essential Lineup (The Nomad Hinge and Nomad Slim). In both cases, your trial begins on the day your mattress is delivered.

Why do I have to wait 30 days before I can return the mattress?

Your body needs time to adjust to a new sleeping surface, especially if you have been sleeping on a worn-out factory RV mattress! Additionally, our high-density, CertiPUR-US® certified foams require a short “break-in” period to reach their optimal comfort level. We require you to sleep on it for at least 30 nights to get a true feel for the mattress before initiating a return.

Can I return the mattress just because I don't find it comfortable?

Yes! That is exactly what our Sleep Trial is for. As long as you have slept on it for the required 30-day break-in period, it is still within your 60- or 90-day trial window, and the mattress is in clean, sanitary condition (no stains or tears), you can return it for a full refund.

What exactly does the Nomad Mattress warranty cover?

Our 5-Year and 20-Year Limited Warranties cover manufacturing defects. The most common covered issue is visible sagging or a body indentation that is deeper than 1 inch (2.5 cm). We also cover physical flaws in the foam (like splitting or cracking under normal use) and manufacturing defects in the cover’s stitching or zipper.

Does the warranty cover my mattress getting softer over time?

No. Like all foam products, your mattress will naturally soften slightly over years of continuous use. This normal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing defect. The warranty also does not cover changes in your personal firmness preference, accidental spills, or damage caused by an unsupportive bed frame.

Do I have to keep the original plastic and box for a return?

If you have opened and slept on the mattress, you do not need to try and cram it back into the original box (we know that’s impossible once it expands!). However, if the mattress is still completely unopened in its original packaging, it qualifies for a standard 30-day return window.
