Once you carefully cut away the plastic packaging, your Nomad Mattress will immediately begin to expand. It will be ready to sleep on in just a few hours, though it can take up to 24–48 hours for the high-density foam to fully decompress and reach its exact firmness and dimensions.

If a spill reaches the foam core, do not put the foam in the washing machine or soak it in water. Instead, spot-clean the area using a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Gently press down to absorb the spill—never wring or twist the foam, as this can tear it. Allow the foam to air-dry completely in a well-ventilated space before putting the cover back on.

No, you should never flip your Nomad Mattress! Our mattresses are engineered with a specific 2-layer or 3-layer structural design. The high-density, firm foundation layer must always stay on the bottom to support you, while the Thermo-Adaptive or cooling gel comfort layers must stay on top.

Yes! While you shouldn’t flip the mattress, we highly recommend rotating it 180 degrees (head-to-foot) every 3 to 6 months. This helps distribute your body weight evenly across the surface and extends the lifespan of the high-density foam.

We require you to sleep on it for at least 30 nights to get a true feel for the mattress before initiating a return.

Yes! That is exactly what our Sleep Trial is for. As long as you have slept on it for the required 30-day break-in period, it is still within your 60- or 90-day trial window, and the mattress is in clean, sanitary condition (no stains or tears), you can return it for a full refund.

If you have opened and slept on the mattress, you do not need to try and cram it back into the original box (we know that’s impossible once it expands!). However, if the mattress is still completely unopened in its original packaging, it qualifies for a standard 30-day return window.
